Import Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 4K MP4/1080P MTS in FCP X/7/6

Edit Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 4K MP4/1080P MTS videos in FCP X, FCP 7 and FCP 6 without rendering on Mac.

Panasonic FZ1000

Panasonic recently took the wraps off their new Lumix FZ1000 4K camera. The FZ1000 is able to record 4K QFHD (3840 x 2160) video at 30p with a high bit rate of 100Mbps in the MP4 file format.

Panasonic really has a couple of really great 4k cameras available for some time now. However, there's not going to be native support for the MP4 codec in most NLEs, even if FCPX.

I get some Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 4K MP4/1080P MTS files to edit and believe I’ve figured out the solution for editing Panasonic 4K MP4/1080P MTS in Final Cut Pro X flawlessly without rendering. Here is the way I’d like to share with Mac users.
This Panasonic Video Converter for Mac can help you effortlessly transcode 4k MP4/1080P MTS files for smoothly importing and editing in various non-linear editing systems (NLE), including Final Cut Pro X, FCP 6/7, iMovie, Final Cut Express, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, etc. Download a trial and let’s see how it works.
